CeSinit ADVANTAGES OF CeSinit®

CeSinit® means Swiss-made silicon nitride. Our thermoforming process allows us to cost-effectively manufacture thin and long-shaped components, and is therefore perfect for bars, ceramic capillaries, ceramic multi-hole tubes and ceramic flat-profile parts. Even parts with complex geometries can be quickly and cost-effectively manufactured by green machining. This is beneficial for both batch and prototype orders.

Our thermoforming process with silicon nitride allows us to economically produce ceramic needles, ceramic capillaries, ceramic multi-hole tubes, ceramic rods, ceramic pins, and much more.

CeSinit®-CS14

Our CeSinit®-CS14 comprises a combination of outstanding properties which meet the most extreme application conditions

  • highest mechanical strength, also at high temperature
  • excellent thermal shock resistance
  • low wettability
  • electrical insulating
  • high fracture toughness
  • good chemical resistance
  • low mass (density 3.2 g/ cm3)
  • colour: gray or black

CeSinit®-CS40 (for small parts)

Our CeSinit®-CS40 is characterized by the forming technology of extrusion and is especially suitable for rods, tubes and profiles.

  • highest mechanical strength, also at high temperature
  • excellent thermal shock resistance
  • low wettability
  • electrically insulating
  • high fracture toughness
  • good chemical resistance
  • low mass (density 3.23 g/ cm3)
  • extruded
  • colour: black

CeSinit®-CS30

CeSinit®-CS30 is a new material based on CeSinit-CS40 and distinguishes itself by his outstanding electrical conductivity. This ceramic opens up a wide range of application and machining possibilities

  • highest mechanical strength, also at high temperature
  • electrically conductive
  • highest fracture toughness
  • high Weibull modulus
  • barely wetting
  • can be machined by electric discharge (EDM)
  • outstanding wear resistance
  • good sliding properties
  • very good thermal conductivity
  • low mass (density 3.9 g/ cm3)
  • extruded
  • colour: brown to golden brown
